Hey, I was searching all over and trying to figure out a way to insert ads in the post (As you see in this post :)). A lot of videos are there on the internet and countless articles. This process is very straightforward and simple. Studies and various experiments have shown that readers are more likely to click on ads which are in the post rather than outside. Some internet marketers have seen their CTR go up by up to 50 %. You can also try to experiment and see if this works for you. Let me show you how to insert the ads in the post in a very simple and easy way.

Step 1: Go to you AdSense set up grab the code for the ad you want to display. It could be 336 x 280 (as in this post) or a different size.

Step 2: When you are writing your post, there are a lot of options on the bar and 2 of them are "Visual" and "HTML". Just switch to HTML.

Step 3: Start writing you post or paste a portion of it and then use this code below and paste the Google ads code. The code to use is Do not forget to close the tag with.

The end result? You don't get paid for your work and they have your registration fee safely in their back pockets. Most of these companies don't have real clients, so the "assignment" that they sent you was completely bogus and just a means for them to get their hands on your hard earned money.

If you are looking for assembly work, craft projects e.g knitting jerseys, booties, blankets, etc - re-read the warning above. Most of the companies that offer these kind of projects also send you bogus assignments, in the end rejecting your work. You will probably find that you have to sell the products that you made yourself - something that they did not tell you when you first registered.

Becoming an adplacer is even worse. You also have to pay for the "privilige" of joining the site, then all you do is place ads for more people to place ads. That is a typical pyramid scam.

Doing online surveys can make you a bit of money, but I wouldn't count on it making me rich. You should watch out for sites that ask you for payment to access their databases "with hundreds of companies that will pay you do surveys". You don't need to pay to find companies that will pay you for taking surveys. All you have to do is put in a bit of work and you will be able to find them yourself. Do a search on one of the search engines like Google for "get paid for your opinion". You will find loads of genuine companies that will not charge you to sign up for their surveys.

Can you really make money from this?

Late 2003, I think was the first time an ebook popped
up that claimed that one could make money from Google
Adwords.

The main method that was revealed involved combining
Google Adwords and the Clickbank affiliate program, to
make money, online, everyday almost on autopilot.

Please allow me to very quickly outline how you can
make money on the internet, using this system.

Here are 2 things you need to get started...

1) You need a Google Adwords account.

2) You also have to sign up as a Clickbank affiliate

Ok, so how does it work?

Well, you simply go to clickbank.com and on the main
page you click on "Promote Products" on the right.
You will be taken to the index page of all products
being sold via clickbank. Each product is listed with
a short description and the percentage you make as an
affiliate.

Just select the product you wish to promote, grab your
affilate promotion URL, by clicking on the [earn 50%].
Your personal affiliate link will pop up, just copy
and paste that, into a text editor like notepad.

The next thing I like to do is visit the main sales
page of the product I have selected, and select some
benefits from the sales copy, I can then use these to
write my Google Adwords Ad.

Alright then, how do you write your Ad?

The general profitable Google Adwords format that has
seemed to work for many is like this. Line one your
heading ask a question, line two mention a feature of
the product or ebook, line 3 give a benefit, then line
4 your websites address goes there.

Once you have selected your budget and you submit your
ad, it will probably start showing on the Google
network within the next 10 minutes.

When searchers see your google ad, they click on it and
google will charge you for every click, according to
how much you bid on a particular keyword.

If the searcher who clicks on your ad, then goes ahead
and buys from the site, you will receive the respective
commission from Clickbank, and you can check your
earnings when you login to your clickbank account.

However, There's 2 things to watch out for...

Your Return On Investment(ROI) and your Click Through
Rate(CTR).

The ROI helps you determine how profitable
your Google Ad is, when you subtract the cost of
running your ads from the amount earned in your
clickbank account.

The CTR helps you fine tune your ad so you can
increase the number of people clicking on it especially
if its a profitable ad, if more people are clicking on
the ad itself it would probably result in an increase
in your affiliate income.

Google Image Ads: Get More Dollars Per Click

I tried text ads for a long time and was getting in the range of 10 cents to 70 cents per click, but after some time I thought of changing my strategy and started adding google image ads and was happy with the result.

My suggestion is, have one google image ad per webpage and 2 text ads. One text ad on the top left and above it a google image ad is recommended for good results.

Some websites benefit a lot from google image ads than others. Everything depends on the layout of the website. If the layout is attractive and matches the google image ads then the click thru rates would be high at the same time if the google ads do not match the website then the click thru's would be less.

Most people like to add the google image ads on top, but it is not bad to experiment by adding them at the bottom of the pages too. It is not recommended to add more than one google image ad in a webpage. You can have 2 text links along with one image ad which would get more click thru's. Make sure that you have one google ad on the top left side of the webpage.

How to Set up Your Google AdWords Account?

As you may or not know, Google Adwords is now one of the fastest growing advertising formats that you will come across. Whether your a small local company or a world trader, You are just steps away from creating a ton of traffic to your website. First of all, let me just quickly explain what Google Adwords is - for those of you that don't know.

Adwords is Googles version of an advertising campaign. Basically put, Google is allowing you to advertise on their website. This means that you will have access to some of the multi millions of visitors that are searching on Google on a daily basis. Which could mean thousand of hits to your website.

Why Google AdWords?

One of the main reason that Google AdWords is so popular is quite simply the way it is structured. Instead of traditional advertising, where you pay for your ad no matter what. Google AdWords allows you to ONLY PAY when a visitor clicks on your ad and comes to your website.
This is the same as your advertising magazine only charging you when a reader gets in contact with you. This is very powerful stuff. It is know as Pay Per Click Advertising.

How to Set up Your Google AdWords Account.

Ok, First of all you will need to go to Google website: http://adwords.google.com.
Once you have loaded the screen, look for a button that says - Sign Up Now or Try Adwords Now. Once clicked you will be taken to a page that asks you whether you want to set up a 'Starter Edition' or a 'Standard Edition', I personally have never used the Starter Edition. Basically, the Starter Edition is only for complete beginners. You will need to upgrade to the Standard Edition sooner or later, so why not sign up now. I'm going to take you through the Standard Edition signup.

Once inside, you will be asked to select your language, this will determine the language of the text that you will be reading. Then you will be prompted to choose your target location. This section is going to depend on your business. Lets break these down.

Countries and territories

- Your ads will appear for searches made anywhere in the selected locations.

Regions and cities

- Your ads will appear for searches made in the regions and cities you choose. (Not available in all locations.)

Customised

- Your ads will appear for searches made within a specific distance from your business or other location you choose.

So, unless you want to target your, you will select Countries & territories. Other wise, choose an option that will only show your ad in targeted area. I normally choose Countries & territories as this will get me the most amount of explosure.

The following page will ask you which countries you want your ad to appear in. This is very important, as it allows you to chose which targeted countries you want to promote to. For most of my products, I always select - UK, America, Canada, Australia & New Zealand. You can select which ever countries are best suited to you. Simple high light the country that you want, click the 'Add' button. Once you have selected all of your countries, simply click 'Continue'.

Writing Your Ad:

Ok, now we start getting into the heart of the campaign, we can start writing our ads. This part is so easy to do, yet is has one of the biggest impacts on your campaign. Do this right, and you will gain massive rewards, Do this wrong, and it will cost you dig time!

Headline:

Make you headline stand out from the other adds. It must get the readers attention.

Description Line 1:

This line normally works best as a benefit line. What are the benefits of your products or service?

Description Line 2:

Create a sense of urgency! this should be a call to action line. Get them to click onto your ad.

Display URL:

This is the URL of your website. How ever, you do not need to add the www. And you can also add capitalization to the first letter of each word.

EXAMPLE:

www.articlereader.com - can become - ArticleReader.com

Destination URL:

This is the full URL of your website address.

EXAMPLE:

www.articlereader.com

Adding Your Keywords:

Your Keywords are the word that you want your ad to on appear when typed in. So, for example: If I'm promoting a free ebook give away, then I would want to bid on Keyphrase such as:

- Ebook

- Free Ebook Giveaway

- E- Book

- E book

As you can see, I'm bidding on different variation of the same word. This is because, you don't know exactly what a user is going to type in to the search engines. There four, you want to cover all related keywords.

This page also offer you a chance to find more keywords. Simply type your main key phrase into the 'Want More' text field, click search and hey presto, You have a new list of keyphrase that you can use. Your keyphrase should be targeted to your product or service.

Choosing Your Price:

One last section to complete then were done. There are three sections to this area, each of which are all based around the amount and currency of your advertising.

Choose a currency:

This is straight forward - simply select the currency of your country from the drop down menu.

Average Spend a day:

How much would you like to spend on a daily basis? I always set this to £1,000. Don't worry, you will never spend this much. But by setting a high daily spend, it will ensure that your ad is show through out the day. You then control the cost via the keyword bid amount.

Keyword Bid Amount:

Select how much you want to pay. Basically, what is the maximum that you want to pay for one click? This amount should be worked out based on your profit margins. The more profit that you have, the more you can afford to pay. However, a good starting point for most people is between £0.50 & £1.00. Thats it, the next step just asks you to confirm your details, then give your account information over. Remember, you will be charged £5.00 to set you account, so have your credit card ready.
